Ok here it is ... straight up ...  after spending what seems like "for-ever" slaving away at work, the bell tolls 5 and we all sprint for the door desperate for some excitement, inspiration and if you're anything like me ... yearning for a little fashion fix.  Well let me tell you ladies, add in a little bubbly and that is exactly what Bellissima had going on this past week at the Scotia Centre and Chinook Centre Bellissima locations in Calgary.  Not to mention the little "cherry on top" ... a trunk show of the Joseph Ribkoff 2013 cruise collection!  Bellissima has brought designer fashions right to our backdoor.  All the latest and greatest, convex silhouettes, fabulous prints, figure framing layers the list goes on and on.  If you are looking for a little "ab-fab" in your life, then you need look no further.  Keep in touch by adding "Bellissima" on facebook and be sure not to miss out on the next fashion night out!

Heart Truth Fashion Show

 Back in September Bellissima took part in a charity fashion show called The Heart Truth, which raised funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The show started out with locally designed red dresses and suits. The show continued with a presentation of some of Calgary's top brands and retailers, including Bellissima!  Below are some photos from the Bellissima show as well as the locally designed red dresses. Royal Resurgence

Royal is one of those colours that seems to be flattering on almost everybody. We are seeing a resurgence of this colour in handbags, shoes, jewellery and of course clothing. We are even seeing it on the bark of trees....how’s that for a popular colour!!! Just goes to show that everyone should try on some Royal. Get your Royal fix at BELLISSIMA

Guest Post: Casar Jacobson

Hi, I'm Casar, and I'm excited to be guest blogging for Bellissima this month. I'm currently living in British Columbia, I am one of the faces behind the Bellissima campaigns, and recently won the title of Miss Canada Globe. For my guest post I thought I would share some of the opportunities that I have been fortunate to participate in lately.

 I recently joined an anti-bullying campaign with a school out of British Columbia. I was introduced to this school while visiting a 13 year old boy by the name of Zack. Zack has mild autism, but is a brilliant boy, and very smart. He currently loves the sciences and Harry Potter. He can memorize things word for word and can recollect dates and situations in a manner most of us cannot.

I recently teamed up with a crew that is helping me towards my acting, singing and public speaking goals. I'm also working with a vocal coach. As well, I received a contract with Canada's Sexiest Girl as a representative on the TV/reality series that will be launched out of Auckland, New Zealand.

In addition, I'm competing in Albania for Miss Globe. I departed on the 25th from Ontario.

Parkluxe 2012

PARKLUXE, a luxury fashion show presenting local Alberta designers took place in Calgary on October 6th at the Hyatt Auto Gallery Mercedes Benz. The night included runway shows from Caitlin Power, Nicole Campre, Lauren Bagliore and Anne B. Accessories. This was the second year Anne B. Accessories took part in this luxury fashion show, and her collection did not disappoint. Check out the video below to see Anne. B Accessories on the runway! Love the collection? You can find Anne. Two Shades of Grey

Maybe you’ve heard....Grey is the new Black. We are seeing a trend now towards Grey. It’s popping up in literature, home decor and of course fashion. And like Black..... Grey seems to work well in complimenting so many other colours. Pink, Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Orange and most other colours allow this neutral colour to do a perfect job of enhancing whatever it surrounds.

Miss Canada Globe

In March Bellissima did a feature on one of our newest faces for our campaigns, Casar Jacobson. At that time Casar was holding the title of Miss Calgary and pursuing philanthropic endeavours in Nicaragua.  We would like to congratulate Casar on her current accomplishments of being named both Miss Canada Globe and Canada's Sexiest Girl. Some of Casar's upcoming pursuits are an international competition in Albania as well as some work for German television. To find out more about Casar, check out our march interview!
